R26 Loose bodywork on front bumper

  1. Don't judge me, only had the car a little over a month and just today before going to wash it I noticed the following on both sides of the bumper.

Basically looks as though I need clips on either side to fix it back on. Also the gap between the bonnet and bumper looks too big to me or is that right?

So, which clips do I need to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  2. Yep that looks pretty standard, i did put a self tapper in each side to stop it popping out on mine.

  3. better check your plastic wheel arch liners and undertray fixings as well then.
took both my front wheels off and got underneath the car last week.
was shocked to find many of the plastic arch liner fixings gone, and 2 of the undertray fixings broke.
typical fkn garages, servicing cars..breaking stuff, and saying fk all.

  4. Cheers guys. Are there specific clips I can get to re-attach the bumper or is it a do whatever works thing?

Also, a couple more pics...noticed when pushed back in, the arch doesnt line up neatly, is this also normal.

  5. yeah..front bumper is a nightmare to line up.mines the same.

  6. i had a selection of plastic fixings and self tappers bought from ebay.
    they fitted perfect.

  7. And also dude the gap between bumper and bonnet is huge ,thats normal.

  8. Bumper on the side has a tab that should fit onto a bracket behind wheelarch liner and held in placed by a screw inside the wheelarch line top front of it

  9. the bumper has been removed at some point and it hasn't been fitted back correctly. its a bugger if its not fitted right under the headlights. it will leave a offset gap..just like mine when i cocked it up..
