Have had my R26 for sale for a few weeks, not a single viewing.. I feel the car is priced really well considering the sublte mods, stunning bodywork and how much recent work it's had done. Where am I going wrong? I usually don't have any issues selling cars and genuinely think this is one of the best ones out there. It's on here, Ebay, Collecting Cars and Facebook Marketplace. It's definitely competitively priced against the competition, you're not going crazy there. Over the last few weeks I was seriously considering buying an R26 (but at the lower end of the market) so have been watching for these specifically. Anecdotally I have noticed the cheaper, more tired ones at £4k-5k selling a lot faster than the more pristine. Incidentally I decided to opt to look for a Mk3 instead as I find it significantly more modern and the R26 feels almost classic now - not something i'd have said 3 years ago. For what it's worth, I think some of the dealer asking prices for the upper end examples look very overpriced considering some of the corrections that have been happening since late 2023 on a lot of more niche/sporty/classic cars - the types which inflated a lot over COVID. Pristine R26s are a pretty niche market that turns over more slowly so price correction might be less apparent. Just a thought. The weather is brightening up which may help
I saw this & think it looks stunning. This shape Meg is a bit of a marmite car (although now the regular Meganes disappearing really stands out) and perhaps colour sensitive? If I wanted a minter to keep I would be after a yellow one and not fussed about paying a premium. I would also be after one as close to std just for ease of running/insurance.
Looks like as I was bumping my gums it was selling! Just saw it appear on Cliosport so off to fellow enthusiast. Well Done.
